If your travel plans include traveling Highway 4 Crosstown Freeway to Interstate 5 you should know there will be some closures that could affect your commute.

Caltrans will begin overnight full ramp closures starting Sunday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 11.

Here’s what to expect on your commute.

Overnight full connector ramp closures will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday. Caltrans crews will be working on maintenance and construction operations throughout the week.

"The SR-4/I-5 connector ramp closures ... are required as part of a pavement repair and rehabilitation project that will improve over six lane miles of eastbound and westbound State Route 4/Crosstown Freeway from Fresno Avenue to El Dorado Street, as well as the connector ramps to I-5, in the city of Stockton," Caltrans said in a statement.

Motorists can use Highway 4 Charter Way to access Interstate 5. Delays should be expected during closures and detours.

Overnight off-ramp and on-ramp closures:

Eastbound off-ramp on Highway 4 Crosstown Freeway at Center Street will also be closed for construction starting 9 p.m. on Sunday to 5 a.m. on Friday.

Full on-ramp closures from Center Street to westbound Highway 4 Crosstown Freeway will close at 9 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Friday.
